** NOTICE OF CHANGE- Boys Grade Division Change

Tournament Format & Rules Compliance:

Each age group will play 2 days of 18-hole competition (36 holes).

All scores will be ranked on the National Junior Golf Scoreboard.  All Tournaments will be played according to USGA rules.

The All-American Junior Golf Tour will comply with the rules set forth by the United States Golf Association (USGA).  These rules will be strictly adhered to unless otherwise noted by an AAJGT Officer and/or Director.

Distance Measuring Devices:

The AAJGT will allow the use of distance measuring devices, including

laser rangefinders in its events and championships.  These laser-powered

devices measure the precise distance between points from any location on the hole.

Decision 14-3/0.5 allows a Committee to permit the use of distance-measuring

devices by Local Rule.  This applies to devices that measure distance only,

not any other conditions that might affect a player’s play (e.g. wind or gradient).

The AAJGT Local Rule will be as follows: A player may obtain distance information

by using a device that measures distance only.  However, if, during a stipulated

round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or

measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed,

temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty

is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are

actually used.

Note:  The AAJGT is allowing DMD's to speed up the pace of play.  If we find that

DMD's slow play in anyway we will change back to the traditional ways of

measuring distances.

*Caddy Policy:

This policy only applies to Boys: Grades 3-5 & Girls: Grades 3-5.  We suggest players select a parent, grandparent, other family member, or friend at least twelve years of age as their caddy, so that both can experience the joy of competition.

Allowing a caddy is a special component of our events as our commitment to encourage family interaction.

Note:  Eligible players with caddy's will not be grouped with a player without a caddy in an older division, even if they are the only player with a caddie in that tournament.

Exception to this AAJGT policy will apply when the allotted "tee times (blocks)" by

the course must be fully utilized.

Shuttle Policy:

Golf carts may be used to transport the competitors (and caddies) from Green to Tee.

Parent Code of Conduct

Advice Policy:

Parents and spectators are extremely important to the All-American Junior Golf Tour.  We welcome all to join our golfers on the course to watch and encourage them as they compete. Please note that parents, guardians and spectators agree to let participants compete without giving any advice or counsel to them during the stipulated round (USGA Rule 8-1) knowing that a violation may cause a two-stroke penalty against their participant without warning.

The only exception to the aforementioned policy would apply to the divisions with caddies.

Do not give advice to any player. "Advice is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, choice of club or method of making a stroke." Penalty for breach of this rule is two-strokes on the player (USGA Rule 8-1).  Talking to competitors during tournament play is not allowed and can be construed as giving advice.

Parents and/or Spectators may suggest the playing of a "second ball "if there is

doubt as to procedure and/or rule (USGA Rule 3-3).

Spectator Policy:

Spectators are to remain on or near cart path or in the rough areas at all times during play. Please remain clear of all fairways.  Spectators are encouraged to praise all competitors.  Spectators are allowed to help player's search for his or her golf balls when deemed appropriate.

Spectators can act as a fore caddie; carry umbrellas, jackets, food or drink, etc.

Alcohol, swearing or abusive language will not be tolerated.
